Base to Butte Kicks Off on May 3

Sponsored by a grant from Central Northeast Neighbors small neighborhood grants program and the Banfield Pet Hospital, Base to Butte is a new not-to-miss community event taking place on Saturday, May 3 at Hancock Park (NE 90th and Tillamook).

The event starts with a community fair that runs from 10am-2pm, and walkers can register to participate in the 3.5-mile loop walk from the park up to the top of scenic Rocky Butte. This is a drop-in event and a great way to get a little exercise, soak of some splendid views of Portland and the Gorge, and help support neighborhood capacity-building.

Nonprofit organizations are gathering this spring all over the country in Town Hall meetings to address three national priorities.

1) Nonprofit Organizational Effectiveness 2) Public Awareness and Support of the Nonprofit Sector 3) Advocacy and Grassroots Community Activities

The Nonprofit Network Southwest Washington presents a Nonprofit Town Hall to nurture important strategic thinking & discussions about what works & what's needed in our nonprofit sector.

This discussion will provide information directly to the national Nonprofit Congress taking place in June in Washington, D.C.

Match Support Specialist - Washington County Office (Beaverton)

Position Summary

To teach moms around the world how to strengthen bonds with their babies, Hands to Hearts International has released an instructional DVD on baby massage,“Baby Massage: Bonding and Nurturing Through Touch.”
