Hands-on take away activities: math with Scrappy stuff, organize a creative reuse center in your classroom, book making, art history projects, and much more! Refreshments, prizes and special membership offers.

Teachers of students of all ages are welcome. Come join us if you work in a public/private school, preschool, after school program, Sunday School class, or summer camp. The School and Community Reuse Action Project’s mission is to inspire creative reuse and environmentally sustainable behavior by providing educational programs and affordable materials to the community.

The Tryon Creek Watershed Council is currently recruiting for a new Watershed Coordinator.

The Coordinator oversees a variety of stewardship activities throughout the Tryon Creek Watershed, including on-the-ground restoration, outreach and education to the public, and assessment of environmental conditions. The Coordinator recruits and supervises volunteers and represents the Council at events and meetings.

This is a 15-hour per week position. It will be opened until filled.

Family Therapist at De Paul Treatment Centers

De Paul Treatment Centers serves the greater Portland community by providing drug and alcohol addiction treatment services. We currently have a full-time opening for a Family Therapist in our downtown adult facility. This position provides education, treatment and support to clients and their families/significant others. Duties include assessment of family history/functioning, family-focused therapy with individuals, couples, families and multi-family group. The role works with both residential and outpatient clients and requires a minimum of two evenings per week. Masters degree in relevant field required with at least one year of paid experience doing family therapy. Experience working with addiction is preferred. Bilingual and bicultural applicants are encouraged to apply.

Volunteer for SOLV IT on Earth Day!

Volunteer on Saturday April 18th with SOLV for one of the largest Earth Day Events in the nation. Join thousands of other volunteers across the Portland Area from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday, April 18 for SOLV IT. This year we have over 100 project sites in Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington, and Yamhill counties. Activities include illegal dumpsite cleanup, watershed restoration, invasive plant removal, litter removal, and neighborhood beautification.

Spring Cleaning At SafeHaven Homeless Shelter! Volunteers Needed

SafeHaven Shelter for Families is Portland's only shelter that provides a place for families to stay as a unit, rather than separating them by gender. It is an integral part of the community and needs your help! After a full winter season, the shelter will be closing at the end of March. We still have a great need for volunteers in April and May, and throughout the summer! Here are some unique volunteer opportunities available to you! Thank you!
