The May 13th Springboard Social Innovation Forum focuses on physical spaces. What new processes, materials, and ideas promote social innovation around the theme of shelter? The theme “Shelter Innovation” will discuss emerging local and national concepts and projects that are influencing this domain. Join us!

Project Metamorphosis is currently looking for Recovery Mentors and Recovery Transition Advocates to fill entry level/part time positions within an innovative grant program. Position involves ability to act as a peer among 16-24 year old street youth, providing advocacy, referral and support concerning addiction and mental health services. Successful candidates will have experience with addiction issues and homelessness. Qualifications include GED/high school diploma and a minimum of 1 year in recovery. Position closes May 13, 2009.

Volunteering

OMSI Audio/Video Volunteer

OMSI is looking for a volunteer to record our Science Pub events. We want someone who can either audio or video record the Science Pub lecture events and put them into a format that can be accessed on the internet. There are 2 Science Pub events per month, so this would be a twice monthly volunteer commitment.

Ideally we would like someone to start recording at the June 1st event.

Volunteer Spanish Interpreter

Community Outreach of Our United Villages provides resources and opportunities for neighbors to get to know one another. Working from the roots, we bring people together to share their ideas to inspire practices that strengthen community.

The volunteer will provide simultaneous and summary Spanish interpretation for adult participants of a Community Outreach hands-on workshop.
