Volunteering

Klickitat River Bike N Pull with Columbia Land Trust

10am-2pm Friday, May 22

The Klickitat River provides spawning and rearing habitat for Steelhead trout, fall Chinook salmon, and Coho salmon, as well as rearing habitat for spring Chinook salmon and resident fish species. This summer we will be doing restoration work on the haul road to improve ecological benefits on the Klickitat River. Prior to restoration we'll be pulling hounds tongue, an invasive weed, from the sides of the old haul road to prevent spreading seed during restoration. Come and hear about our restoration plans and help us continue our effort to reduce this invaders population on this 14 mile stretch of road.
