PINK MARTINI AND MCMENAMINS ANNOUNCE FUNDFEST 2008! FOUR CONCERTS TO BENEFIT FOUR LOCAL NON-PROFITS

Pink Martini and McMenamins announce FundFest 2008! – a four-night fundraising concert event at the Crystal Ballroom on June 3 to 6 to benefit four local non-profits. Pink Martini and McMenamins will produce the event and donate 100% of the net proceeds to be equally divided among the following beneficiaries, which were selected by Pink Martini band members:

• Friends of Trees • KBOO Community Radio • Outside In • Bicycle Transportation Alliance

Oregon Literacy's Spring Scrabble Tournament is May 18 in Portland, OR

Oregon Literacy is excited to announce our Spring Scrabble Tournament.

When: Sunday, May 18, 2008 Noon-5:00 pm

Where: Ringler's Pub (at McMenamin's Crystal Ballroom, downtown PDX)

Cost: $25 per individual player/ $50 per team (of 2 players)

Funds raised will go directly to supporting Oregon Literacy (OLI), a local non-profit.

OLI's mission is to strengthen literacy programs, support volunteer tutors and empower learners to exercise their right to literacy.

Springdale Job Corps Health Fair June 20th - Looking for Vendors!

Springdale Job Corps serves a diverse community of at risk youth from 16 to 24 years of age. We offer high school diplomas, GED, drivers license and post secondary education to students that may not be able to pay for college or want to pursue a career and build on the skills they have.

On June 20th, from 1 pm to 3 pm, we are holding a health and wellness fair to bring resources to our students on all aspects of health and wellness - mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, etc. We are looking for organizations and/or individuals to help educate our students. You would have a booth provided by us at the fair and you are welcome to bring materials and demonstrations to reach the youth. Many students are teen parents and emancipated as well as from difficult backgrounds.

Help youth get a solid start!  We are looking for responsible, mature adults with sound judgment to provide safe, temporary homes for youth (ages 16-24) enrolled in our independent living/transitional programs.  Youth Progress Association (YPA) has been in operation for over 40 years and helps over 80 youth each year.  YPA's goal is to provide

at-risk youth independent living skills necessary to become successful community members.  YPA is looking for individuals who can:
