Casino Royale Event--Benefits Good Neighbor Center in Tigard

On Friday, May 16 the Tigard Leadership Institute is holding its annual fundraising event that will benefit both the Good Neighbor Center and the Tigard Leadership Institute. Residents and business owners from Tigard and surrounding communities are invited to attend this wonderful occasion; the proceeds from ticket sales and our raffle drawing will be split between both non-profit organizations.

The Tigard community will benefit from this fundraiser on two major levels. The Good Neighbor Center is a very important organization for Tigard as it provides housing and services to those families who are homeless. The funds raised from our event will help this deserving organization continue their mission to help the struggling families in the Washington County community.

Spirit and Action -- May opportunities

Dear friends,

Spring this year is charged with the tension of the election campaigns, economic instability, and news of wars and oppression. Many of us are actively engaged in caring for the world in ways that range from tax resistance to election campaigns, actions on homelessness, climate change, eco-defense, peace, justice – the list goes on. Our inboxes are bursting, calendars jammed, with a palpable sense of urgency and stress. To participate in authentic change with our actions, it is crucial to take time to sink deep into our hearts, and open to a wide and spacious perspective on how we engage in our lives. Living Earth offers two opportunities to that end in the latter part of May:

~ Sunday May 18 - Sunday Afternoon Gathering
