Gift Trees Honor Friends, Family & the Earth

Your green gift is just a click away at www.FriendsofTrees.org. Give friends and family gifts that make the world greener and healthier as they grow.

Gift Trees cost $35 and Gift Groves cost $100. Your tax-deductible Gift Tree or Grove will support Friends of Trees' green space restoration projects in the Portland-metro area. With each purchase, Friends of Trees will print a personalized gift card and mail it to the person you choose.

On hot summer days, trees trap air pollutants on their leaves and cool the pavement and our homes, reducing harmful ground-level ozone and lowering our energy use. On rainy fall and winter days, the same trees trap rain on their leaves to reduce river pollution from stormwater runoff.

Calling all volunteer photographers!

Schoolhouse Supplies is in search of volunteer photographers to help capture the fun during our Tools for Schools backpack giveaway program! This program partners high-need Portland elementary schools with corporate sponsors, by providing every child in each sponsored school with a backpack full of school supplies. For two weeks in August, the companies come to Schoolhouse Supplies to pack the backpacks and then hand out the bags to students during the first week of school.

We need volunteer photographers to take pictures during the distribution events at the schools, which take place September 8th – 10th at various times and locations. Photographers can sign up for multiple dates.
