YOUTH PROGRESS R.O.Y. PROJECT’S NEXT “SOUP TO GO ” EVENT!

Portland non-profit Youth Progress Association (YPA) is holding their Monthly “Soup To Go” sale to benefit the R.O.Y project, YPA’s vocational training program. The event will be held at the organization’s office lobby at 2020 SE Powell on Thursday September 17th from 11am to 1pm.

The R.O.Y. project (Recovering Oregon Youth) is our vocational training program which includes the soup project, designed to help lower-functioning youth gain work experience and practice social skills in a supportive environment and easing their transition into employment outside of YPA.

CCHD Economic Development Grant Applications Due October 15th

The Portland chapter of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development is accepting applications for our Fall Economic Development Local Grants cycle. The application deadline is October 15th.

CCHD Local Grants fund or support economic development institutions that are smaller in scope or are in the early stage of development. Economic development projects assist poor and low-income people to develop new businesses and create new jobs.

SOLV- Stream Team Captain Training

BE A STREAM TEAM CAPTAIN   SOLV’s Team Up for Watershed Health has a program that provides an opportunity for volunteers to become more involved in watershed restoration at the leadership level.   Volunteers receive watershed training in return for helping lead volunteer events at Team Up sites.
