Inside the Front Door: Portland's Remodeled Housing Bureau

Margaret Van Vliet, Director of the Portland Housing Bureau, will discuss the newly organized bureau and the challenges it faces on December 9th at noon. The event will be held in the Board Room of the Multnomah County Building, 501 SE Hawthorne Boulevard, Portland. The event is free, and the public is invited to attend and bring a brownbag lunch.

If you have a question related to an immigration legal matter, this event is for you. You will receive one-on-one professional consultation from an immigration attorney participating in the Consultation Day. You will have up to 30 minutes to consult with a lawyer.

HOUSING SPECIALIST – 10/20/09 – until filled

Be part of an energetic and innovative team that provides a Transitional Housing Program for culturally diverse youth, ages 16-21. The position is 34 hours a week, two swing and two overnight shifts, might also include some week-ends. Team members take on lead responsibilities and are engaged in continuing to develop and improve the program. We are looking for someone who has two years experience working in the areas of at-risk youth, homeless youth or shelter/housing programs; BA/BS in a related field is a plus.  Spanish language ability valued, diversity highly valued.  $11/hr+ full benefits.

OPB seeks a Coordinator to manage the day-to-day activities of implementing the Rural Economy project grants from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Holiday Gift Trees - Gifts to Friends, Family & the Future

This holiday season, your gifts can give more as they grow. A Gift Tree from Friends of Trees costs $35, and a Gift Grove of six young native trees costs $100. All Gift Trees will be planted in the Collins Sanctuary in Forest Park.

When you place your order at www.FriendsofTrees.org/GiftTrees, Friends of Trees will print your name and the name of the person being honored on a gift acknowledgment card and mail your card within three business days of your order. Please place your order by Dec. 10 to make sure your gift is received by the holidays.

Santas Needed For CAT Holiday Fundraiser!

Come spread the holiday cheer for Santa Claws, an annual fundraiser, for the Cat Adoption Team! This popular event gives PetSmart customers and their pets the chance to pose for a photo with "Santa Claws." For every "Santa Claws" photo package purchased during a CAT shift, PetSmart donates $5 directly to CAT.

No suit or beard is needed, all of these items are provided by PetSmart Charities for this annual fundraising event.

Santas are needed on Saturday, December 5th from 11am-4pm at our Tigard, Tanasbourne, and Tualatin PetSmart stores.

We are also looking for Santa's on Sunday, December 6th from 11am-4pm at our Hillsboro and Washington Square PetSmart stores.
