Internship Program Coordinator

Primary Function: Development and Coordination of Pathfinders Internship Program. Location: Center for Family Success (Rockwood/Gresham) and Pathfinder Academy (St. John’s) Reports to: Training and Internship Manager Hours: 32 per week. Compensation: $32,000 - $36,000/ yr, Depending on qualifications Benefits: Medical, vacation, sick leave, short term disability, as well as others. Send resumes to: [email protected]

This position works closely with the Training and Internship Manager, Community Program Managers, interns, and with other program delivery staff to support programs delivered by interns for justice involved parents in a variety of goal-oriented activities through the process of parent education and advocacy as defined by the agency.

Catholic Campaign for Human Development Accepting Applications for Community Organizing Grants

Local Catholic Campaign for Human Development Community Organizing Grant Applications due Thursday April 15th.

CCHD Local Grants fund grassroots community organizations that focus on the systemic causes of poverty, and who address institutional change, not just individual change. People living in poverty must have the dominant voice in the organization; leadership development must be available to all low-income participants.

Past projects include: -electronic Know Your Rights resources for the homeless community -cultural support circles for Latina workers in Astoria -accessible voting for the blind in Eugene -organic farms for immigrant workers

Make Jewelry from Recycled Building Materials at a ReBuilding Center Workshop

 

Jewelry Making with Reclaimed Materials Workshop:

 

Design and craft jewelry from reclaimed materials in this three day workshop.  Participants will search The ReBuilding Center warehouse for reclaimed items to transform into pieces of jewelry. Fundamentals of jewelry making techniques and tool use will be covered.

 

Monday April 19, 6-8pm, Saturday April 24 and Sunday April 25, 11am-5pm

Tuition: $90
