Free Camp for Middle and High School Girls

Oregon Tradeswomen, Inc., is proud to announce a free summer camp for girls! From July 14th - July 25th, high school girls will build two garden sheds, learning how to frame, use power tools, build out of sheet metal, gain roofing experience and brush up on their math skills. From August 4th - 8th middle school girls will put the finishing touches on the garden sheds, including painting and installing trim. Both camps will go on a variety of field trips and have a lot of fun. Breakfast is provided. The camp takes place at the University of Portland, and runs from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm for middle school, and from 9:30 - 4:30 pm for high school. Position Summary:

Portland Habitat for Humanity’s (PHFH) mission is to build partnerships among volunteers, families and the community to transform lives and revitalize neighborhoods by enabling families in need to earn and own a simple, decent affordable home.

The Oregon Master Swimming Association is hosting a National swim meet at Mt. Hood Community College August 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th. We are expecting 1,000 to 1,200 swimmers and we need people willing to be timers, runners etc. It's a good team building opportunity for volunteers in your program, as well as employees and a chance to earn some money for your nonprofit. Volunteer Bookkeeper needed: Independent Publishing Resource Center

Independent Publishing Resource Center (IPRC) located in downtown Portland is seeking a volunteer Bookkeeper. Our current volunteer bookkeeper has been accepted to grad school and quit suddenly. We're currently looking for a dedicated volunteer to take her place. This would be a great opportunity for anyone interested in volunteering their time and expertise in a creative and fun environment. This position would also have the perks of a free membership to use the IPRC's resources and to take a free workshop each quarter.
