The third annual GoGreen Conference in Portland, Oregon will feature a full day of inspiring keynotes, dynamic panel-style sessions and high-level networking, with a distinct platform of showcasing statewide business leaders and their sustainable success stories to give business attendees the opportunity to implement best practices learned from the event and create viable partnerships within their regional business environment.

Open Enrollment at Forest Grove Community School

Forest Grove Community School is accepting applications for enrollment through October 1st, 2010 for grades 1-8. Forest Grove Community School is a free public charter school that engages students in scholarship, stewardship and citizenship with the goal of educating for sustainability. At FGCS, students, parents and teachers develop personal learning plans that give students the chance to develop their special talents and interests. All classes spend at least one half day each week engaged in learning activities in the community, frequently outdoors, including in our school garden. Announcing Our 2010-2011 Training Season!

 

We are kicking off an exciting 2010-2011 Training Season with nonprofit networks/training series in Portland, Salem, Bend, and Medford. Participants meet regularly to hear timely and expert updates on nonprofit management practices, and get tools and resources they can take back to their organizations to improve effectiveness. Each year-long series incorporates the most relevant topics facing the nonprofit sector. You can sign up for a Season Pass, or just come to the sessions that interest you.

SE Works Auction & Soup Cook-Off Volunteers

SE Works' mission is to strengthen the economic health and well being of our diverse southeast Portland community by facilitating successful connections between job seekers and employers.

 

The 2010 SE Works Annual Auction & Soup Cook-Off is a fun and food-filled fundraiser that provides vital support so SE Works can fulfill our mission to the Portland community. This year's event on Saturday October 9th, “Planting the Seeds of Hope,” plans to build on the success of past years in a time when organizations like SE Works truly need support from the community.
