Green Roof Workshop Series at Columbia Springs

Green Roof Workshop Series at Columbia Springs Columbia Springs, the environmental education center located at the historic Vancouver Trout Hatchery site on Old Evergreen Highway, will host four workshops in September to provide participants with information and experience on building living green roofs. Workshops will be presented by experienced green roof professionals who will address the diversity of green roof approaches and answer questions from those interested in the design, construction, and purpose of living green roofs. Green roofs are growing in popularity as an effective way to extend the life of a roof while reducing storm-water runoff, fuel costs, and the reflection of heat into the atmosphere.
