The New Organizing Institute is excited to announce their Summer 2008 Organizers Summits in nine cities across the country this summer -- including Portland, Oregon. These state-based trainings will help organizations build on a core set of skills that are fundamental in a new, more technology-focused world -- including organizing, communications, field, and evaluation.

Volunteering

Volunteer for Compassion & Choices of Oregon!

Compassion & Choices of Oregon is a non-profit organization that aids people in end-of-life choices, including their option to use Oregon's Death With Dignity (also known as Physician Aid in Dying, or PAID) law. This law allows Oregonians with terminal illnesses to seek a humane and painless way to end their lives on their own terms. We never charge for services. If you believe in a person's right to die with dignity and compassion, then we invite you to volunteer as either a client support team member, an office administrator or a grant writer. Experience in hospice, nursing or social work is helpful, but not necessary. We offer comprehensive training and mentoring. We need Volunteers in all corners of the state.
