Movies and Meaning Group - "Max Manus" - October 21

Please join us this month for "Max Manus," a Norwegian film tracing the true story of Max Manus, a World War II-era resistance fighter. Here are the first lines from the filmaction website: "They took my country and now I want it back. I am Max Manus? and this is my story". Hitler's regime is one of the most poignant and unforgettable era's of the world history. Max Manus follows the story of a man who dared to fight back to free his country and consequently establishes himself as a living legend. Contrary to war films of old, Max Manus presents Germans as adversaries, no evil caricatures and shed light on why so many German followers sacrificed their personal values and adopted the Nazi indoctrination.
