New parent support group second Sunday of each month

A new Parent Support Group for Parents/Caretakers of 0-12 year olds will be held the 2nd Sunday of every month from 2-4-November 14th, December 12th and January 9th at People's Community Room. Although its best to come to all 3 groups, we know parents need flexibility so come when you can! Please join us and practice putting your oxygen mask on first! Enhance you parenting skills a well being by learning new ways to give and receive support from group members.In between short teaching segments, we will work in partners to practice processes and build supportive relationships that can be enjoyed between classes.

The StreamTeam is a volunteer driven, stream restoration and environmental education program of Clark Public Utilities. Since the program's inception in 1992, thousands of volunteers have come together to plant native trees, remove non-native plants, monitor water quality and wildlife and engage the community in bringing salmon back to Salmon Creek.

The Relief Managers are here to attend to guest needs, check families in and out of the house, ensure safety and comfort, act as a resource, perform light cleaning/preparing of guest rooms and do basic office/front desk tasks.

Hours vary weekly and monthly. There are 3 choices of shifts: 1. Friday at 5pm to Saturday at 5pm 2. Saturday at 5pm to Sunday at 5pm 3. Sunday at 5pm to Monday at 8am

Each manager is asked to work approximately one and a half weekends per month, some holidays and infrequent weekday evenings. counseling/social work licensure internship

Richmond Place, an Impact Northwest transitional housing program for homeless families, has 1-2 internships available for counselors or social workers seeking clinical licensure. 4 hours of clinical supervision per month would be provided by an LCSW with over 20 years of clinical and supervision experience in exchange for four hours per week of individual , group, or family therapy with youth ages 10-18 and their families.

 

Minimum qualifications include a Master's degree in counseling or social work and recent experience providing therapy or social services to youth and families. Preference given to bilingual applicants.
