Sunshine Pantry "Fuel For Food" Fundraiser Yard Sale Saturday 7/12 9 am-4 pm

Sunshine Pantry Help for those in need: food, clothing, sundries Because no child should go to bed hungry

Sharon Straus started Sunshine Pantry in 1983, as a needy family project for her son's Cub Scout Pack. The project expanded and Sharon ran the panty from her garage for 24 years. Sunshine Pantry now serves 500 families a month from a 1000 square foot warehouse. As Sharon says "Nobody chooses to come to a food pantry.”

The Sunshine van recovers food donations from Portland's leading grocers. The pantry reduces hunger and waste by salvaging perishible foods that would end up in landfills. The soaring price of gas has doubled the cost of food recovery.

This ride is a benefit for the Bicycle Transportation Alliance. They do work all year long to make Portland a great city for us to ride our bikes in, and Saturday is our chance to give back to them... while riding our bikes.

There's no denying it: this ride is the best way to see Portland in all its glory at night! So put on your lights, dress up in costume and head to the Portland Train Station this Saturday night for a ride like no other.

===> Discounted online registration closes tonight (7/10) at 11:59 pm. After that: register at the event or at the pre-ride party on Friday.
