We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Children, Youth and Family Program in the Schools Uniting Neighborhoods (SUN) Initiative. SUN brings together city, county and state resources with school districts, parents and neighborhoods.

Responsible for providing support to Program Manager and SUN Community School site supervisors.  Primary responsibility is to assist with program planning, organization, procedure development, training and data entry.

SUMMARY Provide services to residents of permanent affordable housing, The Resident Services Specialist (RSS) will work with residents, property managers and the Resident Services Manager to help tenants maintain their housing. The RSS will identify resident needs, coordinate and implement programs and services, foster community cohesion, and provide information and referral. Requires creative thinking and desire to work with low-income population.

The successful candidate will also have an interest in teaching financial literacy classes to low-income families and learning about Individual Development Accounts (IDA’S). Training is provided. A car is essential for this position.

Early Childhood Administrative Officer

The Early Childhood Administrative Officer works closely with the Early Childhood Program Director at The Oregon Community Foundation to implement early childhood grant and initiative programs developed by the foundation’s staff and board of directors. The Administrative Officer is a professional position, responsible for administration of the functions of the Early Childhood Program, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and quality of all activities under that umbrella. This includes coordinating administrative duties with staff from other programs and departments, including other staff of the Community Benefits Department, as well as Advised Funds, Development, Finance and Administration, and Fund Services.

Southern Oregon Program Officer

The Southern Oregon Program Officer serves as OCF’s grants and scholarships program representative in the southern part of the state, based in the Medford OCF office. The position primarily serves Jackson, Josephine and Klamath Counties, but also works in Lake, Douglas, Coos and Curry Counties as needed from time to time. The position will be supervised by OCF’s Senior Program Officer in close conjunction with OCF’s regional Charitable Gift Planner, Program Officer for Education and Vice President for Programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate OCF grant and scholarship activities throughout the region. Assist with OCF outreach events as appropriate.

The Independent Publishing Resource Center located in downtown Portland has many workshops and shared resources on the topic of self publishing available to the nonprofit community. IS YOUR GROUP LOUD ENOUGH TO LEAD A PARADE?

The Concordia Neighborhood Association is looking for someone to lead their annual National Night Out Neighborhood Parade Tuesday August 5th. The parade forms at Faubion Elementary School on N.E. Dekum and at 6:00 pm heads to Fernhill Park at N.E. 37th and Ainsworth. The route takes about 30 minutes. The park will be full of activities, such as a balloon artist, hula hoop fun, face painting and a free performance by Trashcan Joe.
