Janus Youth Programs has the following positions available. Janus is a nonprofit agency providing community-based services, including residential and shelter care, to youth referred by OYA and/or DHS, as well as homeless and street-dependent youth. We operate facilities in Oregon and in SW Washington. We are an agency that values diversity and values the contributions made by our staff in helping the youth we serve. Direct Care Specialists (part-time) needed at Clackamas House, a program providing community-based residential treatment services to female adolescents referred by DHS. Positions provide client supervision, skill building, crisis intervention, and participate in implementation of treatment plan. Bachelor's degree in social services or related field or 2 years related experience is preferred. Some positions may require driving. Beginning rate of pay is $9.00-$9.25/hour. Residential Counselor needed 26/hours per week to provide direct service and supervision to clients at 12-bed crisis shelter for runaway & displaced youth. Excellent opportunity to gain experience working with at-risk youth. Beginning pay is $9.45/hour with excellent benefits package. Must have current driver’s license for state of residency & be insurable under agency’s liability policy. Spanish speaking is a plus. Day and swing-shifts; Saturday – Monday. Skills Trainer at Cordero, a progrm providing residential treatment to male adolescents referred through Oregon Youth Authority.  This position will work a combination of morning and swing shift hours.  The position is responsible for skills training, family coaching, client supervision and daily observations, participating in activities related to treatment goals, and maintaing a structured living environment in accordance with program expectations and policies. Positons requires a Bachelor's Degree in social services, juvenile justice or related field or 2 years related experience.  Driving is required. Relief Workers

Relief Workers are needed to fill-in for regular staff who are on vacation, ill, attending trainings, or are otherwise unavailable. Currently there is specific need for relief workers at:

 Cordero House a residential facility serving male adolescents referred through Oregon Youth Authority.  There is a specific need for overnight coverage so preference will be given to those available to work overnight shifts. Street Light, Porch Light and Bridge House, programs providing overnight shelter and/or transitional living services to youth who are street-dependent or recently transitioning from this environment need substitute workers, particularly for overnight shelters.  These positions provide client supervision, crisis management, and oversight of program policies. Previous experience working with at-risk or street-dependent/homeless individuals is strongly preferred. Beginning pay is $9.00/hour.
