Volunteer for Portland's Best Bicycle Party

Pedalpalooza Kickoff Party Volunteers

Do you like bikes? What about free beer? What about a party of 2,000 cyclists?

On June 13th, the Pedalpalooza Kickoff party jumpstarts over a fortnight of bicycle rides, workshops and events with a huge party. (The unaffiliated world naked bike ride will leave from the party at midnight.) We need over 80 volunteers to make this event a success! All positions include fame, glory, burritos, and beer tokens. These positions still available:

Freight Elevator Operator: Wear a fun hat, operate the building's beautiful freight elevators. Volunteer with a friend! A short pre-training is required on the night of the event. Minimum Age 18 (you'll get a shirt instead of beer tokens if you're under 21.) Shifts: 9PM- 12:15AM, 12:30-1:30AM, 1:30-4:00AM

Traffic Flagger: We need 3 dedicated people to help flag traffic on our street closure. This position is the ultimate rockstar position, helping keep everyone safe and getting you endless thank you's and smiles. It is by far the most important position of the party. You will need to get certified as an Oregon Flagger, which is a 4 hour training offered on Thursdays or Saturday. We'll cover the cost of the training and you get to keep your certificate- possibly opening up future jobs or volunteer positions! Minimum Age 21. Shifts: 8PM to 12:00AM, 12:00AM- 4:00AM

This party is guaranteed to be something to write home about. Come support Shift, a non-profit that aims to demonstrate that cycling is fun, liberating, empowering, sustainable, and environmentally friendly. Have more bike fun.
