Free workshop – Space is limited. Registration required.

Learn how easy and inexpensive it is to build a simple, Earth-friendly garden bed right on your driveway, lawn or other vacant area using the layered sheet-mulching technique known as “lasagna gardening”.  You can grow your own flowers and vegetables in record time with the “lasagna gardening” approach.  This workshop will also explore the benefits of eating locally grown foods.  Gardening specialist Kris Alexander will present a 30-minute slide show on the way to build an Earth-friendly “lasagna garden” bed and plant it with starts to get your garden growing.

The group will then work together to construct a lasagna-style garden bed.  You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience with the process and learn how easy and inexpensive it is to grow your own nutritious and delicious produce at home.
