Sunday Parkways: SE Intersection Superhero Volunteers Needed

Description: Sunday Parkways are 7-8 mile "temporary parks" along city streets connecting neighborhoods and residents in North, Northeast and Southeast Portland.

Intersections are staffed by volunteers allowing residents to get to and from their driveways, with larger streets supervised by Portland Police Bureau staff and certified flaggers.

The City of Portland needs volunteers to manage intersections along the Sunday Parkways route on August 16. The event will run from 9 am - 4 pm, divided into three shifts for volunteers, so that they may enjoy the event personally.

Group volunteering welcomed and encouraged. Volunteers receive a t-shirt and food!

Duties: Set up or take down barricades at the intersection; Assist with participation traffic flow; Answer participants' questions; Redirect neighborhood traffic; & Attend a volunteer training.
