Volunteer Opportunity: Garage Sale at Old Tualatin Elementary School!

Description: Join a group of volunteers on a done-in-a-day project led by a Hands On Greater Portland volunteer leader. No advance training or ongoing commitment required, so sign up and participate in a project that fits your schedule. Need help signing up? Call 503-200-3355.

Set-up for a huge garage sale at Old Tualatin Elementary school! The school district has a surplus of student desks, and general school/office furniture. The plan is to sell the items to the community on June 27, 2009. Help us prepare for the sale by moving the furniture to a central location on the campus, as well as taking inventory of what is for sale.

This project requires heavy lifting. There are 2 inventory positions available that will not require lifting. Please feel free to email the volunteer leader and request a "light duty" inventory position. Bring a friend and support a Tigard-Tualatin School District fundraiser!

Snacks and water will be provided. Please feel free to bring work gloves.

This project is great for individuals 14 and older. Volunteers under age 18 must bring a waiver signed by a Parent/Guardian, available at www.handsonportland.org under Menu/Volunteer Programs/Family Volunteering.
