Help a new mom in need!

Being a new mom can be very challenging without a community of support. It is especially challenging for a single mom who is already juggling the demands of a toddler while trying to care for a growing newborn. Impact NW is looking for a few volunteers to make meals for one of our Healthy Start clients for the first week she returns from the hospital with her new baby. She is a single mom with one 13-month old and is scheduled to deliver her second child the last week of August. We would like to find help for her during the first week of September by having a few volunteers pre-cook meals and deliver them to this growing family so mom can spend time caring for her newborn.

Impact NW’s Parent Child Development Services and Healthy Start programs are founded on the fundamental principle that parents are their children’s first and most influential teachers. The programs works with parents of children ages 0-5 in support of developing strong, nurturing families and healthy, thriving children through intensive home visiting services, parenting education, assessment and referral.

Impact NW’s mission is to help people achieve and maintain self-sufficiency and to prevent and alleviate the effects of poverty. We effectively provide stabilizing and preventative social services to 60,000 children, families, seniors, and adults with disabilities throughout Clark, Multnomah and Washington Counties.
