Job Responsibilities:

The SUN School Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day operations of SUN School’s extended day activities and school’s social services referral & coordination systems. The position works in close collaboration with school’s principals, SUN CS Partner agencies, school staff, and other NH SUN CS staff.

Position is responsible for working with school staff to increase academic achievement of at-risk students within SUN CS guidelines. Position is conduit linking school’s youth & families, SUN partner agencies, and school staff to the SUN System’s referral resources. Conducts community outreach, family involvement activities, and adult classes in conjunction with SUN CS Partners and school staff. Responsible for recruitment, hiring process, and supervision of SUN School staff, instructors, volunteers, and tutors. Coordinates summer academic enrichment program.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, or related field; * 3 years full-time experience in program management, especially in public school setting, in middle school or K-8th grade-aged youth or education programs; * Experience in supervision of program staff and volunteers; * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; * Experience & ability to work effectively with multiple agency partners to deliver services to youth and families; * Ability to work independently at school location, both as part of a team and to lead the team; * Experience working with socio-economic and culturally diverse communities; * Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable by agency; * Use of personal vehicle for business related activities is required; * Must pass criminal background check as condition of employment.
