Finance Director: New Avenues for Youth

New Avenues for Youth seeks an experienced, skilled Finance Director to provide financial leadership to support a diverse array of innovative programs that create independent lifestyles for homeless and at-risk youth. BA in accounting or related field, plus five to eight years of demonstrated in-depth financial leadership experience required, CPA preferred. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in handling complex financial issues, managing diverse government funds, managing a non-profit accrual financial system with a budget of $3 million, advanced knowledge of general accounting principles (GAAP), relevant regulatory standards and internal controls, and experience with computerized financial systems and office software tools including Great Plains, Excel, and Word. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated ability to effectively develop financial statements, analyze and make sound recommendations on complex financial data and operations, possess strong time management skills, and have the ability to multitask, work independently, and exercise sound judgment and reasonging in a fast paced work environment. Exeptional ability to prioritize and meet reporting deadlines will be highly regarded.
