Impact Community School Site Coordinator III at Vose Elementary School in Beaverton PROGRAM: Children, Youth and FamilyENTRY SALARY: $33,836 to $37,221 Full Time - 40 hours JOB SUMMARY: The Impact Community School (ICS) Coordinator III works under the supervision of the Community School Program Manager and the school Principal to co-manage Impact Community School (ICS) activities. Provides program development, academic links with the school day, grant compliance, community outreach, service coordination, resource development and planning.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: ·        Provides leadership in the development and support of work groups and action planning designed to further the mission and goals of the Agency, School and 21st CCLC grant

·        Develops and implements program design so as to assure compliance with 21st CCLC grant requirements including adult programming, number of students served and writing/math focus for activities.

·        Provides oversight of before and after school activities and supervises staff, volunteers and students.

·        Utilizes an understanding of current best-practice pedagogy and curriculum development in cooperation with school staff to implement after school math and writing programs that actively engage students and complement the school day academics.

·        Performs administrative tasks, including organizing and facilitating meetings, coordinating the ICS Advisory Council, drafting an annual work plan and budget, compiling and disseminating program information, data collection and writing and submitting required progress reports.

·        Solicits and assesses cash and in-kind resources to leverage and enhance funding for Impact Community School activities.

·        Performs other duties as assigned by the leadership of the ICS Advisory Council, Program Manager and Principal as they relate to the program.

·        Conducts on-going outreach and recruitment of a broad and diverse base of citizens, organizations and businesses to participate in ICS planning and implementation of programs and activities.

·        Effectively works with individuals of diverse backgrounds.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONSAny combination of experience and training that would likely meet the following requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree in community organizing, planning, social work or related field;

·        Knowledge of the targeted schools Community geographic area;

·        Minimum of four years experience in program development, education, curriculum or community development;

·        One year supervisory and program oversight experience.

·        Excellent human service planning skills and ability to engage a broad spectrum of community members in planning efforts;

·        Ability to organize, prioritize and complete multiple and varied tasks;

·        Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;

·        Sensitivity and ability to relate to people from divers lifestyles and cultures and;

·        Ability and willingness to work as a team member and support the mission and goals of Impact NW and the school’s community.

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: ·        Bilingual and cross cultural knowledge and skills.

·        Experience developing curriculum and academic pedagogy
