What’s In It For You? As an AmeriCorps SUN Team Leader with Impact Northwest, you'll serve full time at the Brentwood-Darlington Community Center (7211 SE 62nd Ave.). You'll complete a 12-month AmeriCorps term with a minimum of 1,700 hours of service. Salary / Pay Rate: | Up to $11,400 living allowance divided over 12 months + $4,725 education award |
Required Skills and Abilities: | Required Qualifications: • Have legal status as a U.S. citizen or permanent resident • Be at least 18 years old • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (or develop a plan to achieve it during the AmeriCorps term of service) • Be able to pass a Federal and State Fingerprint Background Check • Be able to engage in repetitive motion, prolonged sitting, & extensive visual involvement |
Qualifications: | Preferred Qualifications: • Familiarity with East Portland communities • Bilingual in English and any of the following languages: Spanish, Russian, or Vietnamese • Experience promoting volunteerism or community involvement in cultural minority populations |
