Portland Downtown Yard Sale, July 18

Portland Downtown Yard Sale—Register now!

Living downtown, there’s access to entertainment venues and museums. You have grocery and department stores within blocks. There’s a mall and retail shops for every occasion.

However, living in the city can be isolating. It’s possible to live next door to people for years without getting to know them. Come bridge the gap between neighbors, neighborliness and friends at the Portland Downtown Neighborhood Association (PDNA) Yard Sale:

Date:   Saturday, July 18th

Time:   9:00 am - 5:00 p.m.

Place: South Park Block between Clay & Market

The neighborhood is offering spaces for $20. The proceeds will be used for future neighborhood projects. Spaces are approximately 6 feet long.

Registration is open now! Register and pay for your space at the Umpqua Bank, SW Jefferson & SW 10th Avenue, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. or Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Share a space with a neighbor to enjoy some shopping yourself. Site location is on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Pets, alcohol and smoking are not allowed at the Sale.

Volunteers of America (VOA) will be on hand at 5 p.m. to pick up unsold items for donation. VOA cannot accept large appliances like refrigerators, stoves, washers or dryers. If you have furniture too large for a rummage sale, consider donating to Community Warehouse (www.communitywarehouse.org).

We’re looking forward to a day filled with fun and neighborliness. Please consider volunteering for set-up or clean-up. To volunteer or if you have questions, please contact Angela at [email protected] or at 503.823.4211.

Sincerely,

Angela Southwick
