About the show:

Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare, original adaptation by Scott Palmer. Shakespeare's classic tale of tragic young love, bitter family rivalry and passion has been given the Bag&Baggage Treatment! This adaptation features original source materials used by Shakespeare, along with modern poetry by Keats, new verse written by Artistic Director Scott Palmer, amazing choreographed sword fights, and stunning and stylish costumes designed by Gregory Pulver!

The show is presented outdoors at the Tom Hughes Civic Center Plaza in downtown Hillsboro, between 1st and 2nd on Main Street. There is a public parking lot at the SW corner of the Civic Center, at SE Washington & 1st Ave. Street parking is also available throughout downtown Hillsboro. However, Main Street between 1st & 2nd will be closed for the event. This is an outdoor performance and no seating is provided. The seating area is on concrete, so you are encouraged to bring blankets, cushions, low lawn chairs, or folding chairs to sit on. Cushions will be available to rent in the box office.

The General Admission seating area (first come, first serve for the best seats) at the Plaza opens at 6:30pm. Please dress comfortably and keep in mind that it can get chilly quickly after the sun sets!
