Parent/Child Development Specialist -Bilingual Spanish/English, Impact Northwest

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for promoting and supporting healthy growth and development of families with children prenatal to five years old. Primary responsibilities include program planning, delivery of parent and child education services in group and home visit settings, advocacy, assessment, and service coordination.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in social work, early childhood education or related field; Minimum of three (3) years experience in human services or education, preferably providing early childhood education services to low-income children ages prenatal to 5 years; One year specialized experience in providing parent and child development services for families with infants and toddlers; Bilingual (Spanish/English); Sensitivity and ability to relate to people from diverse lifestyles and cultures; Ability and willingness to work as a team member and support Portland Impact’s mission and goals. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; Ability to effectively work within a strength-based, integrated family support service delivery model; Possess good organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple and varied tasks;
