The Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF) is seeking to fill a new position—Vice President, Project Management Group (PMG). Our mission is to support the development of renewable energy and watershed restoration while empowering people to shrink their carbon footprint. The VP, PMG is a member of BEF’s Executive Team and responsible for all aspects of BEF’s Project Management Group (PMG) including educational components.

Required Skills and Abilities:Job Requirements • Bachelors degree in business, environmental education, or other related field • 7+ years in the renewable energy field • 8+ years progressive management experience • Demonstrated success creating and leading business lines requiring advanced project management skills • Advanced quantitative & qualitative analytical skills • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills • Customer service orientation Preferred Experience • MBA • Experience with solar demonstration projects • Knowledge of K-12 environmental education programs • Nonprofit experience
Qualifications:Specific Responsibilities/Essential Functions • Collaborative partner in BEF’s Executive Team to set and model BEF’s values and culture, reinforce BEF’s brand and set BEF’s strategic direction • Create the vision for the Project Management Group, including it’s education components in a way that supports BEF’s mission • Provide leadership to the Project Management Group in the implementation of the group’s vision and business processes, as well as achievement of its management goals and objectives within the framework of the company’s mission, strategies and philosophy • Develop business cases for market and/or program changes and present compelling suggestions/recommendations to the executive team for consideration • Ensure that PMG attains and maintains sustainable business practices including break-even or profitable financial status • Work collaboratively with Climate Business Group to develop program competencies that meet the needs of BEF’s customers/funders including collaborative fundraising, creative project development and customer project reports • Ensure that PMG including educational staff support other departments where appropriate • Prepare timely career development plans, performance reviews, and other administrative tasks for all direct reports and ensure that all HR processes are properly implemented • Represent BEF and PMG to external audiences and Board • Utilize cross-functional services, such as marketing, contracts and administration in an effective manner • Maintain productive relationships with funding partners, vendors and clients fostering long-term client/funder relationships at all levels
