position summary:

OLCV Education Fund is seeking an intern to help update and publish a new online edition of the OLCV Education Fund Handbook for the Oregon Legislature.

Roles of the intern would include:

• Confirming (and in some cases recruiting) authors to update individual Handbook chapters • Providing research support for those authors • Coordinating the editing of their work • Posting the completed chapters on the OLCV Education Fund website

Timeline:

This project should take an estimated 6 to10 hours per week, on average, over the course of three months. An October 15th start date and January 15th end date are ideal, but those dates are negotiable to match a school calendar. (We also understand December would likely involve a break for the holidays no matter what).

If the right candidate is also seeking more hours, additional projects could also be added to the role, including other web-related and communications tasks.

This position is unpaid.

Required Skills and Abilities:The ideal candidate for this position would be a law student, graduate student, or policy-oriented undergraduate student with writing and editing skills, online research experience, and the ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
