Head Start Head Teacher/Site Coordinator: FT; 44 wks/yr., position based on 8/17/09 start date. B.A. in ECE or related field & 2 yrs exp. in preschool classroom setting or A.A. in ECE & 4 yrs exp.

Lead teaching team in planning and implementing early childhood classroom curriculum; knowledge of Anti-Bias and Developmentally Appropriate Curricula; screen and assesses each child; develop individualized learning plan; involve parents in planning for classroom and on home visits; responsible for the general maintenance, organization, budget and team work at their assigned site.

Requires at least one year supervisory experience. Ability to interact positively and appropriately with children & adults. Need basic computer skills. Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, ability to be insured, and reliable personal transportation. Ability to routinely lift 50 lbs., bend, twist, stoop and run after children.

Offer is contingent upon results of a post-offer health exam, including a TB test to declare free from communicable disease. As required by contract, periodic re-testing for communicable disease will be scheduled throughout employment.

Offer is also contingent upon the results of a criminal offender information record check and, possibly, fingerprinting. Must be successfully enrolled in Oregon's Child Care Criminal History Registry.

Salary / Pay Rate:Starting salary range for 44 weeks: $22,722 – $27,280/year (salary would be adjusted based on actual start and end dates for school year).
