Friends of Trees Crew Leader Training & Neighborhood Tree Planting –November 7

Crew Leader Training and Neighborhood Tree Planting 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009 Fishers Landing Elementary School

3800 SE Hiddenbrook Drive Vancouver, WA

Join this popular group of key volunteers! Sign up for the free training and learn how to lead volunteer planters at morning tree plantings.

The morning session is a workshop where you will learn about community-based tree planting, leading volunteers, proper planting, codes and permits and the many benefits of trees. The afternoon is the hands-on portion where you will co-lead crews of real community volunteers that will plant over 100 new street trees. Participants will receive breakfast and lunch, as well as a sense of knowing you are helping your community and the environment!

As a trained crew leader, you'll go on to guide your own crew of volunteers at four plantings during the fall and winter. It's a great way to make new friends and find out why volunteers love Friends of Trees crew leaders!

Call 360-619-1127 or email Jesse Batty to reserve your space at the training.
