PEEPs Coordinator

Northwest Service Academy seeks a Coordinator for its Portland Environmental Engagement Program (PEEPs).  PEEPs engages local middle-school age youth in environmentally and community focused projects and service experiences.  Started four years ago by NWSA AmeriCorps members as a summer day camp, PEEPs has expanded to include school-year programming as well.  We are looking for someone with experience with the middle-school age group, as well as environmental and/or experiential education, volunteer leadership, meeting facilitation and community-building activities, and knowledge of Pacific Northwest ecology.  Help us continue the high level of programming that PEEPs campers and parents have grown to depend on!

  This AmeriCorps position starts January 11, 2010.  Benefits include a monthly stipend of $1,109 before taxes, health insurance, a $4,725 AmeriCorps education scholarship, loan forbearance, childcare allowance and many training opportunities.
