Classroom Law Project is seeking a part-time Office Assistant

Classroom Law Project (CLP) is seeking a part-time Office Assistant.  The Office Assistant will provide general administrative and program support to CLP’s full-time staff.

CLP is a non-profit organization of individuals, educators, lawyers and civic leaders building strong communities by teaching students to become active citizens.  CLP provides civic education opportunities to teachers and K-12 students statewide.  Please visit www.classroomlaw.org for additional information about CLP’s projects and programs.

Competitive candidates will demonstrate:   • Organizational skills and attention to detail;   • Computer skills (Familiarity with Macs preferred);   • Interpersonal skills and a positive attitude;    • An ability to both follow directions, work independently, and multi-task;    • An ability to lift approx. 30lbs.

Required experience:    • At least 2 years of administrative support or related experience;    • Office equipment: copier, fax, mail machine, etc.    • MS Office (Word, Excel, Entourage) including mail merges, excel formulas, etc.   Preferred experience:    • Filemaker Pro    • Website Management    • Basic Accounting    • Graphics software (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)

The Office Assistant position is 10-15 hours per week (plus additional hours as needed for event support) and pays $12/hour.  Flexible schedule is a plus.  Opportunities for increased responsibilities and hours are available for the right candidate.
