Tryon Life Community Farm's Hands-On Sustainability Youth Education Program Is Now Recruiting Volunteer Educators! http://tryonfarm.org/share/educators

Do you like working outdoors with kids? Are you passionate about teaching youth a range of sustainability topics including gardening, natural building or restoration? Then come volunteer with TLC Farm!

Our Hands-on Sustainability Program engages youth from preschool through college in an interactive farm tour and hands-on activities and lessons on specific sustainability themes such as gardening, permaculture, natural building, restoration, medicinal plants, forest ecology and more.

Tryon Life Community Farm is a non-profit 7-acre sustainability education and demonstration center on the edge of Tryon Creek State Park in SW Portland.More info on our facilities and programs can be found at www.tryonfarm.org.

Volunteer Educator Position Description: (possible internship)

Volunteer Educators will help lead youth field trip activities at Tryon Life Community Farm using activities from TLC Farm's curriculum. Training will be provided, though previous experience working with youth is required. Commitment: Each volunteer teacher will assist with two field trips per month for at least 3 months.
