Janus Youth Programs has the following positions available. Janus is a nonprofit agency providing community-based services, including residential and shelter care, to youth referred by OYA and/or DHS, as well as homeless and street-dependent youth. We operate facilities in Oregon and in SW Washington. We are an agency that values diversity and values the contributions made by our staff in helping the youth we serve. On-Call Crisis Intake Specialist (half-time) needed with Harry’s Mother/Janus Youth Programs. Position will work as part of a strong, supportive team providing services to youth engaged in the juvenile justice system and runaway youth and their families. Position is responsible for providing both on-site and phone support from 8:30 p.m. Friday evening until 8:30 a.m. Monday morning.  The position involves providing on-site support at our emergency shelter and/or to the Reception Center, a 24-hour immediate intervention service for youth, on an as-needed basis throughout the assigned time period. Duties include a wide range of crisis intervention services and facilitating connection of adolescent and family to other community agencies, juvenile court, and other support services. Bachelor’s degree in social service field or equivalent training and experience working with adolescents and families is required. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. Pro-rated benefits. Childcare Provider/Driver: Insights Teen Parent Program is seeking a part-time Childcare Provider/Driver.  Hours will be: Wednesday, 1-7:00 p.m.; Thursday, 2-8:00 p.m. and every other Monday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  The first and last 2 hours of each shift will be devoted to transporting clients and parents to class site; the middle 2 hours of each shift will be devoted to providing child care activities to children ages 0-5 while parents attending parenting classes. This position requires experience working with children and demonstrating a strong understanding of child development. Driving is required and ability to meet agency’s driving requirements is essential. Food Handler’s certification is also required. Relief Workers

Relief Workers are needed to fill-in for regular staff who are on vacation, ill, attending trainings, or are otherwise unavailable. Currently there is specific need for relief workers at:

Willamette BRIDGE Programs - providing coverage at downtown youth shelter providing overnight shelter to street-dependent youth and to provide coverage at a 24-hour residential facility providing transitional living services to youth. Prior experience working with adolescents in a residential or shelter setting is preferred. Beginning pay is $9.00/hour. Submit resume and cover letter to Mel Jordan at [email protected].
