Job Title:                  Development Associate/Raiser’s Edge Specialist

Department:             Fund Development

Reports To:              Chief Development Officer

FLSA Status:           Exempt /32 to 40 hours per week

Minimum Job Responsibilities:

Enter daily donations and gift data in Raiser’s Edge. Process gifts in a timely manner; produce acknowledgement letters for signature; input/edit donor records; process address changes. Prepare weekly gift batch reports. Produce queries and reports for data analysis and fund raising management. Prepare and process pledge reminders for multi-year pledges. Telephone communication with donors regarding pledges and payments. Implement record keeping procedures and policies; establish data management and input policies and guidelines. Develop and implement procedures to maintain integrity and accuracy of data. Train and oversee input by staff, interns and volunteers, to ensure data integrity. Oversee data transfer from Kintera Sphere web-based database to Raiser’s Edge. Manage portfolio assignments and other prospect management systems in the donor database. In coordination with the Annual Giving Manager, implement and track the baseline stewardship program for all donors and assist with “high touch” stewardship activities for major donors. Work with Finance team to reconcile donor database with financial records on a monthly basis and to meet other financial deadlines. File and track matching gift forms. Prepare mailing lists for direct mail appeals and event invitations. Maintain departmental files. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. Two years experience working with development department database systems, Raiser’s Edge experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to pass standard background check.

Knowledge of a donor-centered development operation. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and oral communications skills. Ability to work under pressure. Excellent interpersonal skills.

Ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Work Environment:

Routine office environment.
