Volunteer to Support Small Latino Businesses
Adelante Mujeres’ small business development program, Adelante Empresas, is seeking volunteers to mentor a small Latino/a business. Our mentoring program is a way for professionals with business experiences to work one-on-one with an entrepreneur and share their knowledge in a way that expands the entrepreneur’s capacity while providing a valuable opportunity for the volunteer to give back to the community.
Currently, we are in need of mentors with the following skills:
-Marketing and finding clients in a low or no cost way (“Guerilla marketing”)
-Accounting and financial management (many of our entrepreneurs are brand new at operating a business so even someone with a basic knowledge of bookkeeping and managing the bottom line is very helpful)
-Website Design (for a jewelry business) as well as graphic design (making effective PR materials)
**If none of these categories fit your expertise but you would still like to volunteer with Adelante Empresas or another program, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we can find a way to best use your skills, experiences, and passions**
