| position summary: | Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington is seeking an individual to assist the CFO with accounting functions—cash receipts, accounts payable, account reconciliation, etc. for the attainment of the organization’s strategic plan and financial objectives. |
| Salary / Pay Rate: | Hiring range is $24,400 to $35,000 Excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. |
| Required Skills and Abilities: | Processes, reviews and codes cash receipts on a daily basis. Processes accounts payable entries, which includes assisting in account coding. Ensures the check preparation process is accurate and timely. Prepares and posts journal entries. Reconciles various balance sheet and income statement accounts, accurate and timely department filing and attends group meetings, training and other functions as directed by the supervisor. Provides excellent internal and external customer service, maintains professional relationship with vendors. Provides staff with various accounting reports and information upon request. Assists with special team projects as assigned. The position requires the ability to work independently and must possess strong organizational and time-management skills. Candidate must be detail oriented and set high standards for accuracy. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential including maturity of judgment, confidentiality, communication, and willingness and ability to productively work as a member of a team. |
| Qualifications: | Associate’s degree in accounting, and four years accounting experience are required. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, with two years of accounting experience is preferred. Experience in the most current applications of Microsoft Office Suite is preferred. Working knowledge of fund accounting and Sage MIP Accounting software is a plus. |
