Independent Medicare Navigation Workshop Saturday, November 7th

Are you trying to navigate the Medicare maze for yourself, a loved one, or a client? Confused by all of the pitches and offers for "help" coming from commercial interests with plans to sell? Become an empowered Medicare consumer by attending an independent, hands-on workshop.

At this workshop, professional advocates without ties to insurance plans will help you:

--Learn about eligibility, cost, and coverage options for Medicare Parts A, B, C (Advantage), D (Prescription Drug) and Supplemental (Medigap)

--Discover how to find and use trustworthy resources in your community and online


--Master tips and tricks for making informed plan choices that are right for you

The workshop is being sponsored by Health Advocacy Solutions, a Portland-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping patients, families, and communities make informed healthcare choices.

Where: Portland State University (269 Cramer Hall) When: 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday, November 7th Cost: $35 per participant. A limited number of scholarships are available.

Coffee, tea, juice, and a light snack will be provided.
