Professional Placement (P2) Winter 2009 RFP

Northwest Service Academy (NWSA)  is now accepting proposals for the Professional Placement (P2) program. Applications are due December 15, 2009. NWSA will award up to 10 AmeriCorps positions through the Winter RFP process. Interested organizations can receive the application materials by contacting Margi Guilfoyle at [email protected]  or 503.234.2383 x118.    P2 recruits highly qualified men and women to serve on compelling environmentally focused projects. These 11 month AmeriCorps positions offer participating organizations access to individuals with highly valued and specialized skill sets, such as GIS, planning and statistical analysis, program development, and other organizational capacity-building skills.  Participating organizations provide a $19,000 cash match towards the $37,000 required to place, train, and support each participant.   Northwest Service Academy services the stipend, workers compensation, medical insurance, educational award and training fund for each individual in the program. NWSA has two centers: the Lower Columbia Center, located in Portland, OR and the Mt. Adams Center in Trout Lake, WA.
