CENTER OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Northwest Service Academy -- Mt Adams Center Educational Service District #112, Trout Lake, WA

Closes: Not Specified

The Mt. Adams Center Operations Coordinator is a member of the Northwest Service Academy (NWSA) team, placing AmeriCorps members throughout the entire Pacific Northwest. NWSA is one of the largest and most successful AmeriCorps programs in the nation. Our Mt. Adams residential center expertly addresses the environmental service and education needs of rural communities and wild land management agencies. Each year the center places over 70 AmeriCorps members with government agencies or non-profit organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest. Members either serve on residentially based field teams that predominately focus on trail maintenance and construction on national forests or as an independently placed Environmental Intern.

In the heart of the Cascade Mountain Range, the Mt. Adams Center is located in central Washington, a treasured wilderness region surrounded by a spectacular landscape of forests, rivers, waterfalls, and mountains. The Center was established in 1994 in the small town of Trout Lake, nestled in a picturesque valley at the end of a dead end highway. For a full description and photos of NWSA and the AmeriCorps Mount Adams Center, visit our website at www.esd112.org; click on ESD 112 Services and then select Northwest Service Academy.
