Help plant trees at Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge

Help the Friends of Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge restore habitat!

What: Join us to plant native willows along Gee Creek at Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge. Our planting efforts will help improve stream health and create wildlife habitat. This event is sponsored by WSU Clark County Extension, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Servicea, the Lower Columbia River Estuary Partnership (LCREP), and the Friends of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge. Please wear waterproof shoes and dress for the weather.

All ages are welcome. People under age 18 must have parents sign their volunteer service agreement (available on the day of the event, or email me to get one in advance).

Where: The Carty Unit of the Ridgefield Refuge: 28908 NW Main Ave; Ridgefield, WA 98642

When: Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 9 am – 12 pm. Rain or shine.
