The Regional Arts & Culture Council to Offer Artists Workshops in 2010

From January to June 2010, the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) will be offering professional development workshops for working artists in all disciplines who reside in the tri-county Portland region.  These workshops are offered as part of RACC’s commitment to provide relevant and inexpensive learning opportunities that help artists become more successful in their careers.

Eight professional development workshops will be presented, including sessions on marketing, grant writing, legal issues, public art and new media formatting. RACC staff, along with qualified specialists in their fields, will be leading these presentations. The workshops include:

•          1/30 Get More by Selling Less

•          2/6 Presenting Yourself Professionally: A Panel Discussion

•          3/6 Fundamentals of Grant Writing for Artists

•          4/10 Copyrights for Artists and Creative Professionals

•          4/17 Contracts for Artists and Creative Professionals

•          5/1 How’d You Get that Public Art Gig?

•          6/5 Digital Image Basics

•          6/12 Digital Photo Editing
