Seeking Volunteers for Nutrition Education with the Oregon Food Bank

The Oregon Food Bank’s Nutrition Education Program is expanding and we are looking for more volunteers to help us serve the communities of Washington County. If you love to cook and/or have Spanish language skills, please consider the following opportunity:

The Program: Nutrition education and cooking course lasting six weeks and taught by volunteer chefs. Each week, chefs lead participants in learning new and tasty recipes that are healthy and economical. Recipe and nutrition guides, as well as training for the course, are provided. Classes will be offered in both English and Spanish.

Locations: At various agencies throughout Washington County

When: Classes will begin in January and are ongoing. Specific dates are decided on an individual basis with each agency and are subsequently announced to our volunteer base.
