Ride Connection is a private nonprofit providing transportation to older adults and people with disabilities living in the tri-county area. We are seeking a 20 hours per week Customer Service Representative (Travel Navigator) to join our team. Ride Connection serves a diverse population and would a prefer the potential candidate to be fluent in Spanish, Vietnamese or Russian.

The Customer Service Representative (Travel Navigator) is responsible for reviewing, assessing and recommending travel options to customers (or their representatives) via phone, email and/or personal contact with agency personnel. The Customer Service Representative coordinates ride requests and referrals to the most appropriate transportation service(s); performs follow up activities to ensure the expected level of service was offered and received; passes pertinent information to appropriate staff; registers new customers; makes appropriate referrals to partner agencies; communicates with service partners; and provides superior quality customer service to ensure that each person who requests Ride Connection service is treated with dignity, respect and patience.

Required skills: Excellent communication skills in English, familiarity with Microsoft programs, data entry experience, ability to read maps

Preferred qualifications: ability to speak Russian, Spanish, or Vietnamese; experience working with older adults and people with disabilities.

Salary / Pay Rate:This position is an hourly non-exempt position starting at $12.57, $13.20 if preferred qualifications are met.
