| position summary: | CASA for Children, a non-profit child advocacy program is seeking a Development and Communications Director. This position will work with the Executive Director, Executive Team and the Board of Directors to plan, develop, implement and oversee all fund raising activities for the organization based on a formalized fund development program to assure adequate funding for CASA in Multnomah and Washington counties. Additionally, the Development and Communications Director will direct the activities of the Development department, provide leadership and direction to staff and promote the organization within the community to ensure a broad base of funding resources. | Required Skills and Abilities: | This position is well suited for a hands-on individual with 5+ years of broad-based experience managing and implementing complex fundraising programs. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a sound track record of meeting annual fundraising goals, excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrated ability to work as a team member, experience with donor database management, and a commitment to diversity. |
